We’re looking for a naturally curious, confident and commercially minded Business Development Research Caller to join an ambitious team working at the forefront of commercial interiors and workplace design. This isn’t your typical sales role. You’ll be the person who spots the opportunity before everyone else does, researching businesses, finding the right people, starting conversations and opening the door to exciting new relationships. You’ll have a big part to play in helping the wider Business Development team identify where the next great project could come from.

So, what will you actually be doing?

  • Hunt for opportunities: Research businesses, markets and upcoming projects to uncover potential clients and opportunities.
  • Start conversations: Pick up the phone, speak to decision-makers and introduce the business in a way that gets people interested.
  • Find the right people: Identify key contacts across businesses and understand who has influence over workplace, property and fit-out decisions.
  • Build relationships: Not every conversation will turn into an immediate opportunity. You’ll build relationships, follow up and stay on people's radar.
  • Spot what’s coming next: Keep your finger on the pulse of the commercial property and workplace market and identify businesses that could become future clients.
  • Create opportunities for the team: Qualify leads and arrange meetings for the Business Development team, giving them the opportunity to turn conversations into long-term partnerships.

Who are we looking for?

We’re not necessarily looking for someone with years of experience. We’re looking for personality, curiosity and ambition. You’ll probably be someone who:

  • Is confident picking up the phone and speaking to new people.
  • Has a natural ability to build rapport.
  • Is curious, you actually enjoy finding things out.
  • Can research a company and quickly understand what they do.
  • Is comfortable asking questions and having commercial conversations.
  • Doesn’t give up after the first “no”.
  • Loves having targets to work towards.
  • Is organised, proactive and hungry to learn.
  • Wants to build a genuine career in Business Development.

Experience in sales, recruitment, telesales, lead generation, business development or a similar environment would be great, but attitude is more important than having the perfect CV.

Why this role? Because you won’t just be making calls. You’ll learn how businesses buy, how relationships are built and how major commercial projects come to life. You’ll work alongside an experienced Business Development team, gain exposure to senior decision-makers and have the opportunity to progress into a broader Business Development role as you develop. If you’re naturally curious, confident talking to people and want to turn conversations into opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
