We are currently working with a national housebuilder based in Surrey who are hiring for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their Commercial team working on new home developments across Surrey. Developments range between 50-150 unit trad build schemes which are running until late 2027.

Duties will include:

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
  • Monitor site performance against plans, budgets, and financial targets.
  • Track project costs and highlight potential variances.
  • Support the preparation of cashflows, cost reports, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
  • Provide timely cost reports and key updates to senior team members.
  • Assist in preparing tender documentation and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Support the procurement process and help prepare and issue subcontract agreements and orders.
  • Prepare interim valuations and applications for payment.
  • Measure works on site to support valuation and cost control.
  • Assist with valuing and managing variations and their financial impact.
  • Support subcontract order administration and payment processes.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and assist with contract administration and compliance.
  • Provide support with claims and dispute management where required.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring site preliminaries and sales budgets.
