Job Description:
The candidate will primarily handle property litigation cases, merger requisitions, and insurance matters. This role requires a thorough understanding of property law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex legal issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload of property litigation matters, including landlord-tenant disputes, boundary disputes, and property ownership disputes.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare court documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on property-related legal issues.
- Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements when necessary.
- Assist with due diligence investigations for mergers and acquisitions.
- Review legal documents and identify potential risks and liabilities.
- Draft and negotiate merger agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Work closely with the corporate team to ensure legal compliance during mergers and acquisitions.
- Handle insurance claims and disputes, including coverage disputes and bad faith claims.
- Review insurance policies and provide guidance to clients on coverage issues.
- Represent clients in negotiations with insurance companies and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare legal opinions and memoranda on insurance-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of PQE.
- Strong knowledge of property law, contract law, and insurance law.
- Proven experience handling property litigation cases, merger requisitions, and insurance matters.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
