We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our dynamic team in Streatham. The ideal candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to post-completion. As part of a reputable law firm, you will deliver high-quality, client-centered service, focusing on efficiency and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Independently handle a busy caseload of residential property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build properties.
  • Client Interaction: Provide clear and concise legal advice to clients, ensuring they are updated throughout the transaction process.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and review contracts, leases, deeds, and other legal documents.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct searches, review title documents, identify and resolve issues, and liaise with other parties including solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
  • Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, including anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
  • Client Retention: Develop strong relationships with clients, providing high levels of service and maintaining the firm's reputation.
  • Post-Completion Tasks: Handle Land Registry registrations, SDLT returns, and other post-completion formalities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a busy environment.
  • Qualification: Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or Solicitor qualified to undertake conveyancing work.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential conveyancing processes, property law, and regulatory requirements in the UK.
