We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor / Legal Executive to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex personal injury claims, with the ability to handle a variety of cases from inception through to settlement or trial. Key Responsibilities
- Caseload Management: Independently manage a full caseload of personal injury claims, including but not limited to road traffic accidents (RTA), employer liability, public liability, and clinical negligence cases.
- Client Liaison: Maintain regular contact with clients, providing updates on case progress and answering any queries or concerns throughout the legal process.
- Legal Drafting: Prepare legal documents such as letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements, and court applications.
- Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with third parties, insurers, and opposing counsel to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Medical Evidence: Liaise with medical experts to obtain, review, and organize medical evidence and reports to support claims.
- Court Proceedings: Represent clients in litigation, including attending court hearings, pre-trial reviews, and case management conferences.
- Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with the relevant legal standards and regulations, including court deadlines, procedural rules, and client care obligations.
- Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying and acting on new business opportunities and building client relationships.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law.
- A strong understanding of personal injury procedures, litigation, and case law.
- Proven experience handling a full caseload of multi-track and/or fast-track cases.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing high-value and complex claims, including catastrophic injury or clinical negligence cases.
- Member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) or similar professional body.
- Experience with both claimant and defendant work (if applicable).
