We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Commercial Property Paralegal to support our legal team in managing a diverse portfolio of commercial property transactions. The successful candidate will assist in drafting, reviewing, and processing legal documents, liaising with clients, and handling various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist solicitors with all aspects of commercial property transactions, including sales, acquisitions, and leases.
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents such as contracts, leases, licenses, and deeds.
- Conduct searches, such as Land Registry, planning, and local authority searches.
- Handle post-completion matters, including registration of property transactions with the Land Registry.
- Liaise with clients, agents, solicitors, and other third parties to ensure smooth and timely progress of transactions.
- Maintain and update case files and client records.
- Carry out legal research to support the commercial property team.
- Provide general administrative support, including preparing correspondence and organising meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a paralegal in a commercial property or real estate team is preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial property law and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
