The Trust Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust has two vacancies for a permanent Teacher of Technology for Food and a Teacher of Technology for DT, ideally for September 2026 or January 2027. We can offer A Level and Level 3 teaching in both disciplines. The vacancy is based at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form.
Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is the only secondary school in the community of Kenilworth, is oversubscribed with engaged and motivated pupils. Since September 2023, Kenilworth School and Sixth Form has been based in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art campus on Glasshouse Lane, offering staff and students an exceptional modern and prestigious environment for teaching and learning.
The Technology Department is split over three floors, comprising of:
- 3 workshops (one with attached laser cutting room)
- 1 CAD/CAM classroom
- 2 Food preparation and Nutrition classrooms
- 3 Textiles classrooms
- 1 large Technology staff base
- 3 prep rooms
All classrooms are fully equipped with large interactive TV screens. Ofsted rated the school as Outstanding in November 2023, maintaining our rating from 2013. The school is well resourced to support the delivery of the subject.
The post holder will join a supportive team with opportunities for professional development. Our educational ethos encourages our students to be responsive, resilient, to have reasoning, be reflective and resourceful in their learning.
The Department has a total of seven teachers and is well supported by two dedicated Technology Technicians.
The Role: As a Teacher of Technology, you will join a focussed, forward-thinking department. The successful applicant should be aspirational, innovative and have a genuine engaging enthusiasm for the teaching and learning of Technology. We are looking for someone who can teach across KS3 and KS4, and the ability to teach A Level would be desirable, but not essential. We would welcome applications from ECTs or experienced teachers.
