As a Teacher of Technology, you will join a focused, forward‑thinking department at the Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and parents to share that commitment.
Responsibilities
- Teach technology across KS3 and KS4; the ability to teach A Level is desirable but not essential.
- Deliver curriculum for both Food and Design & Technology (DT) disciplines, including Level 3 and A Level where applicable.
- Support students’ development of reasoning, reflection, and resourcefulness through innovative teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Technology Department and across the school to support professional development.
- Maintain and develop learning resources and utilise shared online materials.
- Engage with external resources such as workshops, laser cutting, CAD/CAM, and practical laboratories.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.
- Membership of the DBS Update Service.
- Aspirational, innovative and genuinely enthusiastic about teaching technology.
- Experience as a Teacher of Technology or as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) suitable for KS3/KS4 and optionally A Level.
- Strong commitment to fostering an engaging and responsive learning environment.
