Responsibilities
- Support the SENCO in leading and managing SEND provision across the school
- Assist with identifying, assessing and monitoring pupils with SEND
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies
- Help develop and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Promote inclusive teaching practices and positive outcomes for all learners
- Maintain accurate SEND records and contribute to statutory processes
- Support staff training and the implementation of intervention programmes
- Support with access arrangements
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive practice
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Proactive, resilient and committed to improving outcomes for children
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable)
