Kenect Recruitment is seeking an experienced and qualified Vehicle Mechanic to join our client team on a temporary ongoing basis in the Livingston EH54 area. We’re looking for down-to-earth go-getters, who are ready to make their mark on the automotive industry. Our Site Operations and Driving teams play a vital role across our business. Here you can build on your knowledge and find your specialty at one of our sites or on the road – the opportunities are endless.
Responsibilities
- Complete mechanical repairs in line with approved methods.
- Mechanical jobs e.g. Cambelts, Clutches, Wheel alignment, general wear and tear MOT failure work.
- Work productively ensuring repairs are completed within the deadline and work prioritised to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Highlight when repairs are not possible, or an alternative solution is required.
- A high attention to detail and to escape where repairs could be completed more cost effectively.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping and cleanliness within workspaces.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are rigorously followed and documentation completed accurately.
- Undertake other duties as requested by your manager.
Requirements
- Experienced, Level 3 Mechanical Technician.
- A broad understanding of cars, the ability to observe, diagnose and repair mechanical faults and vehicle servicing.
- A clear team ethic, being able to focus on immediate technical tasks as well as understanding work in all departments must be balanced to achieve the business’ overall goals.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points on licence.
