Job Summary:
The Production Operative will be responsible for the operation and overall maintenance of an industrial sized digital printer for production work. The individual must have good attention to detail and be able to prioritize printing jobs assigned within the required time.
Duties:
Responsible for the overall maintenance of printers, including starting, stopping and cleaning of machine
Set-up, changeover, troubleshoot equipment
Identify material with poor quality and seek assistance if correction is needed
Responsible for learning the designs being printed and have ability to identify defects
Handling production of printed materials including printing and racking process
Performing test prints
Load and unload product in print machines
Be able to follow print schedules
Skills and Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods
Heavy lifting and manual handling experience essential
Must be computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc..
Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience (preferably within a textile environment)
Self motivated, effective team player
GCSE grades A-D or equivalent
