Kenect Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Prepper for our longstanding client based in Milton Keynes, MK44. We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper who is able to work within an established team, working to a high standard.
Pay rate: From £16.00 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday 07:00-17:00
Your role:
- Preparing vehicles for paint – this will include masking, sanding, and priming panels
- Ensuring that there are no defects on the prepared panels
- Working on a range of vehicles from small family cars to light commercial vehicles
- Adhering to standards and processes laid down by paint and dry goods companies to ensure a high-quality, cost‑effective product is produced
- Providing support to the bodyshop team within other departments if required
- Checking all work prior to starting to ensure it has been repaired to the required standard
- Ensuring that all parts requisitions are completed accurately
- Completing all work within the allotted time
- Working efficiently to meet targets
Skills & experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician or Prepper
- Full valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars (essential)
- Must be over 21 years old and have held a driving licence for a minimum of two years (essential)
- Willingness to support junior technicians and offer expertise when needed
- Passion for the motor industry and pride in delivering the highest standards of work set by customers
- Ability to work independently on vehicles and make decisions when required
- Excellent attention to detail
