Kenect Recruitment are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our client based in the Aston area of Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a commitment to excellent customer service and adherence to all safety regulations. Duties – Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. – Transport goods to various locations as per delivery schedules. – Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transport. – Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. – Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport. – Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. – Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on the road and at delivery sites. Role can be physically demanding as handball will be required, however the driver will paired with a drivers mate. Requirements – Valid commercial driving license (C). – Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. ( Minimum 12 months ) Drayman experienced preferred, however training will be given. – Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices. – Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. – Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. – Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. – DVLA license check is essential ( MAX 6 Points ) For further information on immediate start, please call Brendon on – (phone number removed) Job Type: Full-time Pay: £16.00 per hour
