We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for the night shift to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, and stack materials within the warehouse. This is a fast-paced environment loading and unloading double decker trailers, so experience in a similar environment is essential.
Duties
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
- Move materials to designated locations within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in inventory management by keeping accurate records of materials handled using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely shipping and receiving of goods.
- Conduct heavy lifting and materials handling as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Basic maths skills for inventory tracking and record keeping.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Ability to operate Warehouse Management Systems effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Valid forklift certification.
