About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our growing renewable energy team in Ireland, supporting the delivery of commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects. This role is ideal for a strong contracts or project delivery professional who has some hands-on solar industry experience, combined with solid commercial and contractual management skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of project contracts across solar PV developments and installations
- Oversee contract administration for EPC, subcontractor, supplier, and client agreements
- Ensure compliance with Irish contract law, company policies, and project-specific requirements
- Support project teams with contractual risk management, change control, and claims
- Review and negotiate terms with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers
- Monitor programme milestones, deliverables, and payment schedules
- Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, and site teams
- Manage variations, extensions of time, and commercial disputes where required
- Ensure contractor performance aligns with quality, HSE, and delivery standards
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Support tender reviews and pre-construction contract strategy
- Provide reporting on contractual performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager, or Project Contracts Lead
- Experience working within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or renewable energy
- Solar PV experience is required, though this can be from a supporting or delivery-focused role rather than deep technical design
- Good understanding of subcontractor management and contract negotiation
- Familiarity with standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or bespoke EPC agreements
- Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work across multiple live projects throughout Ireland
- Full clean driving licence preferred
Desirable
- Previous experience on ground-mounted solar, rooftop solar, or BESS-linked projects
- Knowledge of Irish grid, utility, or renewable project delivery processes
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, or related discipline
- Experience in fast-paced, scaling renewable businesses
