Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: Belfast Rate: £12.94/hr + holiday pay benefits Hours: Monday – Thursday 0900 – 1300 Contract: Part-time, temporary (potential for permanent) About the Role: Our client, a leading community organisation, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and group-based disability support to young people (aged 1622) on Training for Success, Skills for Life and Work, and Apprenticeships NI programmes. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored support to learners with disabilities Assist tutors by providing additional learning support Maintain accurate records and assist with progress monitoring Encourage learner motivation, independence, and self-esteem Essential Criteria: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (including Maths English) Strong IT skills (MS Office, including SharePoint) Experience working with young people with varying needs Excellent communication, organisation time management Able to work independently and as part of a team Committed to safeguarding young people Desirable: Experience supporting individuals with disabilities Flexible and innovative approach Youth work, teaching, or pastoral background Note: This is a support role, not a teaching position.
