Role Overview
To support manufacturing and warehouse operations by safely operating machinery, assembling or monitoring products, and using a forklift to load, unload, and transport stock.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a Counterbalance or Reach forklift safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload deliveries from incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Move raw materials, pallets, and finished stock to designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct daily safety checks on the forklift before use and report any faults
Production & Manufacturing Duties
- Operate, monitor, and feed materials into manufacturing equipment or production lines.
- Assemble product parts or package and label finished goods for dispatch.
- Perform quality control checks to spot defects and ensure standards are met.
- Report low stock levels, machine faults, or quality issues to the shift supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workspace in line with health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- A valid, in-date Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach, accredited by RTITB or ITSSAR).
- Previous background working as a production operative, manufacturing operative, or warehouse worker.
