Location: Magherafelt

Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm (40-50 hours per week). Occasional Saturday work may be required (paid at overtime rate).

Our client is the UK's largest precast manufacturer and is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter / Fabricator (Mechanical) to join their team in Magherafelt. With extensive operations across Northern Ireland, they supply high-quality solutions to the construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults within the manufacturing plant.
  • Work collaboratively with Supervisors and Machine Operatives on machine setups and changeovers.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual PPM schedules and OEM servicing.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including Health & Safety.
  • Follow Safe Operating Procedures and complete tasks within the required timeframes.
  • Provide input to help improve Safe Operating Procedures and support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the development of plant machinery, equipment, and operational procedures.
  • Carry out reasonable requests from the line manager to support team and company objectives.
  • Support external contractors when required.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork, including permits to work.

Essential Criteria:

  • Methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Fabricating/welding experience required.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while recognising team responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
  • Highly motivated and proactive.
  • Valid driving licence.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in the concrete manufacturing industry (advantageous but not essential).
