Overview: Our client specialises in precision steel fabrication and engineering for a diverse range of sectors. They design and manufacture robust steel components, including custom integral structures, moulds, and bespoke industrial equipment. We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join our steel fabrication team based in Lisburn. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of steel projects, including pre-cast concrete moulds, skips, and other fabricated components. This role requires strong welding skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out MIG welding on various steel components to a high standard.
- Fabricate and assemble products such as pre-cast concrete moulds, skips, and other steel structures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Prepare materials for welding.
- Inspect welds and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in MIG welding.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car due to the rural location.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
