RF Electrical Design Engineer required for a leading Manufacturer & Supply company based in Yorkshire area. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, privately owned company.
Responsibilities
- Design and analysis – RF electronics.
- Simulated tools such as ADS and RF design and EDA tools (EasyPC/PADS or similar).
- Responsible for RF system and hardware designs from initial concept through requirements definition, architecture definition, part selection, detailed design, analysis, qualification testing, manufacturing and in life support.
- Hardware design tasks including block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layout and routing, simulations and design tests on Receivers, Transmitters, Synthesizers, VCOs, low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, mixers, filters and frequency conversion.
- Proven practical RF design at component level and testing of RF circuits across a wide frequency range 5 MHz to 31.5 GHz.
- Proficient in RF fundamentals: impedance matching, passive RLC, filter design, linearity, harmonics, noise figure analysis, etc.
- Proficient in professional simulation tools such as ADS or similar, as well as EDA tools such as EasyPC/PADS or similar.
- Extensive hands-on experience with test instruments such as VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators and oscilloscopes, power meters and signal generators.
- Proven experience in design, simulation, prototyping, and testing of baseband, IF, and RF circuits.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years relevant experience in RF design and analysis.
- Experience with RF electronics design, simulation tools (ADS) and EDA tools (EasyPC/PADS or similar).
- Hands-on experience with RF test instrumentation and ability to translate requirements into hardware solutions.
Working hours
Working week Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 16:30 and Friday till 15:30; 37.5 hours per week.
