Role Overview: The Business Partner (BP) works closely with business units to build strong partnerships, understand business needs, and support organisational goals through effective people management. The BP ensures HR strategies align with business priorities, legislative requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business areas to understand priorities, improve performance, and support organisational goals.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, workforce planning, recruitment, succession, and organisational design initiatives.
- Support managers with employee relations, performance, capability, conduct, and conflict resolution matters.
- Lead employee engagement, learning and development, and change management projects across the organisation.
- Manage consultations with trade unions and support TUPE activities while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and policies.
Job Requirements:
- 'A' level education or equivalent
- Grad CIPD or equivalent experience +3 years
- Previous work experience in a diverse HR unit covering the full remit of issues
- Experience of providing business focused HR advice to a wide variety of managers providing innovative solutions to issues including during periods of organisation-wide change
- Managing casework including disciplinary, capability, grievance, absence etc.
- Understanding of employment legislation, best practice and case law
- Ability to support, guide and coach managers, peers and team members
