Role Overview
Our client is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join their small, growing team on a permanent basis. This successful candidate will be required to work alongside a number of departments to coordinate business activities, coordinating towards the overall success of the organisation.
- Book domestic and international shipments.
- Prepare customs documents and track freight movements.
- Liaise with warehouse staff for picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure on-time delivery for B2B and e-commerce orders.
- Arrange external product testing (COAs, micro, stability, heavy metals).
- Maintain all quality documentation for compliance.
- Manage non-conformances with suppliers.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for UK/EU/US markets.
- Manage all B2B orders from receipt to dispatch.
- Communicate order status to customers and internal teams.
- Handle returns and damaged shipments.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and update ERP (e.g., Unleashed).
- Conduct stock reconciliations with warehouse teams.
- Manage batch, expiry, and traceability data.
- Monitor reorder points and drive purchasing decisions.
- Raise and manage purchase orders.
- Track supplier lead times and confirm product specifications.
- Source and vet new suppliers (materials, packaging, manufacturers).
- Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and payment terms.
Criteria
- Previous experience working within a Purchasing/Procurement or Logistics background is essential.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working within a FMCG background.
- Must be a strong communicator who can build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be highly organised and able to plan and prioritise own workload.
- Must have a proactive and solutions driven mindset.
- Confident using ERP systems, spreadsheets and operational workflow systems.
