About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our growing renewable energy team in Ireland, supporting the delivery of commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects. This role is ideal for a strong contracts or project delivery professional who has some hands-on solar industry experience, combined with solid commercial and contractual management skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of project contracts across solar PV developments and installations
  • Oversee contract administration for EPC, subcontractor, supplier, and client agreements
  • Ensure compliance with Irish contract law, company policies, and project-specific requirements
  • Support project teams with contractual risk management, change control, and claims
  • Review and negotiate terms with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Monitor programme milestones, deliverables, and payment schedules
  • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, and site teams
  • Manage variations, extensions of time, and commercial disputes where required
  • Ensure contractor performance aligns with quality, HSE, and delivery standards
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Support tender reviews and pre-construction contract strategy
  • Provide reporting on contractual performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager, or Project Contracts Lead
  • Experience working within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or renewable energy
  • Solar PV experience is required, though this can be from a supporting or delivery-focused role rather than deep technical design
  • Good understanding of subcontractor management and contract negotiation
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract such as FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or bespoke EPC agreements
  • Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple live projects throughout Ireland
  • Full clean driving licence preferred

Desirable

  • Previous experience on ground-mounted solar, rooftop solar, or BESS-linked projects
  • Knowledge of Irish grid, utility, or renewable project delivery processes
  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, or related discipline
  • Experience in fast-paced, scaling renewable businesses
