About the Role

Kenect Recruitment is working on behalf of a confidential client within the renewable energy sector to recruit a Junior Estimator. This role is ideal for someone with an electrical or Solar PV background who is looking to develop their career in project costing and commercial support. The successful candidate will support the preparation of accurate cost estimates for renewable energy projects, primarily focused on Solar PV systems, contributing directly to the sales and delivery pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal sales teams, M&E contractors, and consultants to gather project information
  • Prepare detailed costings for both prospective and live projects, including contract variations
  • Collaborate with estimators and design teams across the UK and Ireland
  • Present and log project information for client submissions
  • Support the transition of sales data into live operational projects
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to estimating and project processing
  • Contribute to design finalisation for operational delivery

Essential Criteria

  • Electrical apprenticeship (time-served) or relevant degree qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role or exposure to site-based electrical works
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and digital)
  • Capable of working independently and managing own workload
