About the Role

The business specialises in sourcing, processing, and distributing quality used car parts, helping reduce waste and support sustainable automotive practices. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Accounts / Office Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, managing processes, and supporting the smooth financial operation of the business. You will play a key role in coordinating daily logistics, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring suppliers and customers are managed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
    • Process weekly and monthly supplier payments in line with agreed terms
    • Maintain accurate supplier records
    • Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Raise customer invoices accurately and on time
    • Carry out credit control duties
    • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up overdue payments
  • Banking & Reconciliation
    • Complete bank reconciliations for all company accounts
    • Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions
    • Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
  • General Administration
    • Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records
    • Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks and reporting
    • Handle accounts-related phone calls and emails
    • Submit quarterly waste returns
    • Complete Certificates of Destruction

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an accounts role
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Sage accounting software (essential)
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and reporting
  • Competent with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must have own transport due to the location.
