We're working with a growing and ambitious organisation seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join its expanding finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or newly qualified accountant who wants more than just producing numbers. You'll work closely with senior finance leadership, contribute to key business decisions and gain broad exposure across financial reporting, analysis, process improvement and strategic finance projects.
The Opportunity
As Assistant Finance Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the finance function while helping deliver accurate management information, reporting and financial insight.
Working alongside the Head of Finance, you'll gain exposure to internal, group and external reporting requirements, board reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, making this an ideal move for someone looking to accelerate their finance career.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and reviewing reconciliations and key month-end processes
- Assisting with the production of management accounts and financial analysis
- Supporting quarterly board reporting and management information packs
- Reviewing payments and ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies
- Producing meaningful reporting and analysis to support decision-making
- Supporting finance projects, system enhancements and process improvements
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to provide financial support and insight
What We're Looking For
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant
- Experience within finance, accounting or audit
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Good understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and FRS 102
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of their work
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a genuine desire to develop and grow professionally
