Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to join a luxury F&B restaurant in Hillcrest, KZN.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong team performance and a consistently high-quality guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Lead, manage and motivate the restaurant team to achieve operational and service excellence.
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and hospitality.
- Manage staff performance, training and development.
- Oversee stock control, ordering, wastage and cost management.
- Monitor financial performance and assist with achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational standards.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any operational or service-related concerns professionally.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Drive a positive and professional working environment.
- Ensure the restaurant’s standards, values and reputation are maintained at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a senior management role within a high-end restaurant or F&B environment.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial controls and cost management.
- A hands-on management approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Relevant hospitality qualifications would be advantageous.
