POSITION: Junior National Accounts Manager
REPORTS TO: Senior National Accounts Manager
LOCATION: London
Position Summary
This is one of the key support roles within the Commercial team. To build strong partnerships with Sephora, shaping and realising joint strategies to grow sales and profit, increase market share, and maximise sell in and sell out with support from Senior National Account Manager.
Responsibilities
- RELATIONSHIPS
- Act as the main point of contact and establish key relationships with Sephora across multi function (Buying, Supply, Marketing, Ecom, etc) with the support of the Senior National Account manager (SNAM).
- Set up and drive cross-functional interaction between retailer and Kendo team.
- Develop and implement activities tailored to each allocated National Account Group as needed and directed to maximize business potential.
- Liaise with cross function internal teams (Sales & Education, Marketing, Ecom, Finance) to ensure all teams provide effective communication and strong working relationships.
- Work closely with Field Management team and VM to seek feedback from retail teams and stores.
- Ensure regular visits to key stores within allocated National Account Groups with field sales team, Senior National Accounts Manager or on own.
- To achieve agreed retail and wholesale targets within the allocated National Account Groups.
- To monitor and forecast retail and wholesale performance for the allocated National Account Groups.
- To work with the Planner and align on SKU forecasting and inventory targets for core and NPD.
- Work closely with Finance and Supply teams to ensure underpayments and returns are cleared every month and all internal trackers are completed on time.
- Support NAC/Intern on reporting on Sell in & Sell Out.
- Secure appropriate allocation and sell-in for the new launches & review the sell-in and sell-through of all the key projects.
- Prepare/co-ordinate sales strategy documents for company strategy meetings and present retailer specific strategy to retailers, ensuring their buy-in with support from SNAM.
- To support SNAM on defining and implementing retailers’ specific Joint Business Plans (JBPs), reviewing the progress quarterly with the retailers to ensure delivery and adapt plans as appropriate.
- Administer the exchange of information with retailers and update weekly trackers.
- Manage and follow-up application of new account creation/closure (ACD forms).
Profile / Requirements
- Commercially aware & ability to drive business performance.
- Able to manage time effectively and plan in contingencies to ensure targets are met.
- Experience in retail sales management within the National Account sector of the cosmetics industry is essential.
- Sephora experience is desired but non-essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills essential, adaptable for delivery to a range of audiences.
- Excellent planning & organizational skills. Customer focused.
- Uses both hard and soft negotiation techniques to secure win-win results; able to adapt approach quickly in order to secure better results; aims for win-win solutions in all negotiations.
- Team player, ability to respond to rapidly changing demands.
- Proficient at Excel.
