Kendo Holdings, Inc. is a San Francisco-based beauty brand developer and wholesaler. A play on the words “can do”, Kendo has become the hub of creativity and next generation beauty product development for global Sephora channels and selective retailers outside of Sephora.

The Education and Corporate events Manager will be responsible for supporting the Senior Sales and Education Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department along with supporting the wider corporate organization with event planning and execution that reflects the unique DNA of the brands within the Kendo portfolio. This role will be responsible for making the most efficient and creative use of resources in department.
In the fast paced education department time management, organization and great interpersonal skills will be invaluable in this role.
Job Responsibilities
EDUCATION DEPARTMENT:

  • Timely delivery of all training events from concept to event.
  • Liaise with Global education partners to manage updates, product pipelines, NPD, comps and brand DNA.
  • Manage ordering process and budget for gratis, comps and education NSV liaising with the marketing department to ensure we are staying with dept allocation where needed.
  • Support and management of administrative tasks relating to incentives, allocations and other ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Arrange travel for artists for all education related events and activities as needed.
  • Source and manage meeting rooms in-house and when needed external venues for training, workshops, and conferences.
  • Support the wider field team with product requests for content creation, meetings, kit requests, etc.
  • Work with the marketing team and the Senior Sales and Education Manager to forecast for NPD, Comps and allocations of upcoming launches.
  • Arrange external events with retailers to bring to life Kendo’s brands in an engaging, fun and memorable way that supports Education first.

EVENT EXECUTION:

  • Liaise with decision makers to find out their exact event requirements.
  • Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, delegate packs, suppliers, SWAG items that are new, innovative and relevant and budgets)
  • Research venues, suppliers and contractors, then negotiate prices including the LVMH procurement team where necessary and hire
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
  • Coordinate suppliers, handle queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
  • Work across function curating teams for individual events, giving full briefings with roles & responsibilities
  • Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To manage and develop the Education Intern, working with them on Allocations, Event planning, support of the field and sales team and more.
  • Present and reinforce a professional appearance and maintain the Company’s appearance and dress standards at all times, frequently changing makeup styles to reflect current trends and key focuses
  • Build strong and effective partnerships with Kendo/LVMH peers and key partners such as IT, facilities, and department store teams and vendors.
  • Organize data, produce and update reports and presentations.
  • Work within Company expense budgets, following established guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to travel 20- 30% of the time
