Kendamil is one of the fastest-growing infant nutrition brands worldwide, trusted by parents in over 50 countries. Family-owned and proudly made in the UK, we’ve revolutionized the formula market with our unique whole milk recipe. Our products are available in major retailers globally, including Target, Walmart, Boots, and Tesco. With ambitious plans to expand into new markets and product categories, we are seeking an International Brand Executive to support our brand growth and deliver consistent, impactful marketing across multiple countries.
As Head of Creative, you will lead Kendamil’s creative direction and day-to-day studio output, shaping how the brand shows up across packaging, campaigns, retail and digital channels. You will manage and develop a team of 5 designers, setting clear standards, processes and priorities so the team can deliver consistently high-quality work at pace.
From brief to delivery, you will ensure our creative assets are on-brand, insight-led and effective—elevating craft while meeting commercial objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across brand marketing, performance, e-commerce and retail, and partner with external agencies and freelancers when needed. This role suits a hands-on creative leader who can both design and direct, while building structure and capability in a growing in-house team.
Key responsibilities:
- Set and evolve Kendamil’s creative direction across packaging, campaigns, e-commerce, retail, performance and healthcare.
- Manage, coach and develop a team of 5 designers through clear objectives, regular feedback, performance development and a culture of craft and collaboration.
- Lead concept development and hands-on design execution when required, setting the standard for quality, typography, layout, art direction and storytelling.
- Build and maintain scalable processes for briefing, workflow, review cycles, resourcing and approvals to ensure delivery to deadline without compromising quality.
- Oversee packaging design and artwork production, partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency, accurate claims and smooth print readiness/production.
- Translate business and marketing objectives into clear creative briefs; challenge and refine inputs to produce work that is strategically sound and creatively ambitious.
- Partner with marketing, e-commerce, retail and performance teams to plan creative needs and priorities, ensuring the right assets are delivered for each channel.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers and suppliers where needed, including scoping, briefing, feedback and quality control.
- Own and champion brand guidelines, ensuring consistent implementation as Kendamil grows internationally, and maintaining a robust, accessible brand asset library.
- Use insights (customer, market and performance data) to inform creative decisions, and continuously improve how we measure and learn from creative effectiveness.
Qualification and experience:
- Proven experience in a Head of Creative / Creative Director / Senior Design leadership role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating brand building and campaign execution across channels.
- Demonstrable people-management experience (coaching, developing and performance managing designers) and the ability to build a high-performing, positive studio culture.
- Strong art direction and hands-on design capability, with excellent attention to detail and a clear point of view on craft.
- Deep understanding of brand identity systems and how to apply them consistently across digital, print, retail and packaging.
- Experience running creative workflows and stakeholder management—able to prioritise, resource and deliver multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience overseeing packaging artwork and print production, including managing feedback loops and ensuring accuracy and compliance in final outputs.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience).
- Dedicated to building high-performing teams and developing talent.
- Strong commitment to Kendamil’s mission and values—collaborative, pragmatic and leads by example.
- Confident using team collaboration tools (e.g., Asana and Slack) to plan, track and communicate work.
