Reports to : Registered Manager / Deputy Manager Employer : Kendall Care Limited, West Sussex Location : Kendall Care Salary : £14.40 – £15.40 per hour Working Hours : Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required)

Your duties will therefore include assisting our clients with a variety of tasks and, as a Senior Care Support Worker, you will be monitoring and ensuring that all carers in the field uphold the standards of best practice, observe, and respect the client’s dignity, privacy, and independence at all times.

As a Senior Care Support Worker, you will assist clients with various tasks, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and professionalism.

Additionally, you will oversee and support carers in the field, ensuring compliance with best practices and maintaining the highest standards of care.

This role involves observing and respecting clients’ dignity, privacy, and independence while fostering a safe and supportive care environment.

  • Supervise a team of carers in the field, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to carers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and performance reviews for carers, identifying areas for development and providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in the on‑call rota, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Hold a full driving licence, essential for the role due to the nature of field‑based work and travel requirements.
  • Care Delivery
  • Deliver care services to clients as required by the needs of the business, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist with the assessment of client needs and the development of care plans, ensuring that individual preferences and requirements are met.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of care delivery, making or proposing adjustments as necessary to ensure the well‑being and safety of clients.
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Liaise with the Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, and other members of the management team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care services.
  • Act as a point of contact for carers in the field, providing advice, support, and guidance on complex care issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate care and support for clients.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of care delivery, including client assessments, care plans, and daily care logs.
  • Prepare regular reports on team performance, client outcomes, and any incidents or concerns, providing timely updates to management as required.
  • Training and Development
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for carers, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements and ongoing professional development.
  • Identify training needs within the team and work with management to implement appropriate training and development initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits, inspections, and service evaluations, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the on‑call rota, including evenings and weekends.
  • Hold a full driving licence, essential for the role due to the nature of field‑based work and travel requirements.
