Job Description / Team Role:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions and drive successful project outcomes.
- Develop technical knowledge to give guidance to others across a variety of sectors.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organisation.
Individual Duties:
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs.
- Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and procurement plans.
- Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and addressing any risks promptly.
- Advise on procurement strategies and differing forms of contract.
- Compile contract documents, performance bonds and collateral warranties.
- Administer contracts and manage variations, claims and disputes effectively.
- Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and relevant regulations.
- Implement robust cost control measures to optimise project profitability.
- Track project costs, expenditures and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
- Provide expert guidance to clients and stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making throughout project lifecycles.

Skills and Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
- MRICS status is desirable but not essential.
- Confidence in being positioned in a client-facing role for respective projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods and cost management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Valid driving licence.
- Knowledge of: Proficient in MS Excel, JCT suites of contracts, NEC contracts, Cost management software, MS365.
