Overview
Dartford (Group role with regular travel to Tewkesbury)
Why this role exists
Kenard Engineering Group is a long-established, family-run precision engineering business supplying prestigious UK customers in highly regulated manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, defence and communications. Our work demands exceptional standards of quality, cost control and delivery performance.
As the business continues to grow, we are strengthening our commercial finance capability to support better decision-making, tighter cost control and long-term performance. This role is deliberately hands-on and on-site. You will work closely with the Managing Director and Group Finance Director, influencing decisions in real time and helping shape how the business performs day to day.
Kenard offers long-term stability, strong leadership tenure, and a genuine commitment to investing in people and capability.
The opportunity
As Commercial Finance Manager, you will take ownership of commercial finance activity across both the Dartford and Tewkesbury sites. You’ll lead costing and margin analysis, support pricing and quotations, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and act as a key finance partner to operations and sales. This is a visible role with real influence — not a back-office function.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning cost analysis and margin control for manufactured parts
- Supporting pricing, quotations and commercial decision-making
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reviews
- Working closely with site leadership and senior management
- Acting as deputy to the Group Finance Director when required
What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial finance experience, ideally in manufacturing or engineering, but this is not essential
- Confidence working on-site with operational and senior stakeholders
- A practical, commercially minded approach with the ability to show attention to detail
- Willingness to be Dartford-based full time, with regular travel to Tewkesbury
Why Kenard
This is an opportunity to join a stable, growing business where finance is respected and visible. You’ll be trusted, listened to, and given room to develop — with clear exposure to senior leadership and future progression.
If you’re looking for a role where your work genuinely shapes outcomes, we’d like to hear from you.
