We are looking to appoint 2x part-time Teaching Assistants to support students with their special educational learning needs, remove barriers and provide supportive strategies that enable them to make progress. These positions are 20 hours per week, over 3 days. We are flexible in the days to suit the successful candidates, however one of these days must be a Friday. The working pattern is 8.30am-3.30pm on two of the days and 8.30am-4.00pm on the third.

You will be a role model, listener, facilitator for learning and a motivator. You may have previous experience as a teaching assistant, workshop leader or youth worker or may have a background in a youth sector. An academic specialism in English, Maths, or Science would be beneficial. The team is well-established and highly supportive of one another. Led by the SENDCO and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, we work collaboratively, always putting the needs of our students at the forefront of what we do.

Training will be provided along with an induction to support your transition into the role. Strong personal qualities such as confidence, integrity and presence are sought in addition to good functional ICT skills. Consistent and effective communication are required together with the ability to use your own initiative.
