We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Engineer to support our technical, production, and project teams by producing accurate technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, project-specific layouts, and high-quality product visualisations. The successful candidate will work closely with sales, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure customer requirements are translated into accurate technical documentation and professional product imagery that supports manufacturing, project delivery, and business development.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings for lighting products and project-specific requirements.
- Create detailed manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Prepare technical documentation and product specifications.
- Modify existing drawings to accommodate customer or project requirements.
- Support production teams by providing accurate engineering information and resolving drawing-related queries.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding technical specifications and component details.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation are correctly controlled and updated through revision management procedures.
- Assist/support with product compliance documentation and technical submissions where required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to manufacturing efficiency and documentation accuracy.
- Maintain engineering records and drawing databases.
- Maintain and update CAD models to ensure accurate representation of Kemps Lighting products in rendered outputs.
- Produce high-quality product renderings and visualisations using Key Shot/similar to support sales, marketing, customer proposals, and product documentation.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to generate product imagery for brochures, presentations, website content, and customer submissions.
