The Role: We are seeking experienced Hydraulic / Fluid Power Service Technicians to join our branches throughout Australia to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Duties: The key accountabilities include:
- Using testing equipment to diagnose, repair and maintain fluid power components and systems
- Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
- Diagnosing and recommending solutions to fluid power problems
- Identify and repair fluid power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, reservoirs, motors, accumulators, hose fittings and filters
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics
- Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Ensure all work is completed to health, safety, environment and quality requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including site owner representatives
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: To be successful the following knowledge and experience is required:
- A trade qualification as a fitter or equivalent with hydraulic experience
- Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies, tube manufacture and installation
- Formal fluid power post trade training or relevant industry experience would be highly regarded
- Have a high safety focus
- A current driver’s license
- Be able to pass pre-employment medical
