The Role: We are seeking experienced Hydraulic / Fluid Power Service Technicians to join our Portland, Melbourne and Brisbane branches in Australia teams to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Duties The key accountabilities include:

  • Using testing equipment to diagnose, repair and maintain fluid power components and systems
  • Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
  • Diagnosing and recommending solutions to fluid power problems
  • Identify and repair fluid power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves reservoirs, motors, accumulators, hose fittings and filters
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics
  • Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
  • Ensure all work is completed to health, safety, environment and quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including site owner representatives

Qualifications, Skills & Experience: To be successful the following knowledge and experience is required:

  • A trade qualification as a fitter or equivalent with hydraulic experience
  • Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies, tube manufacture and installation
  • Formal fluid power post trade training or relevant industry experience would be highly regarded
  • Have a high safety focus
  • A current driver’s license
  • Be able to pass pre-employment medical
