Pertemps are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Tanker Drivers for BOC, one of the most prestigious Gas companies in the UK.
As the HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver you will be:
- Delivering product to internal and external customers
- Filling and analysing own tankers and high-pressure trailers
- Carrying out minor repairs to vehicles using minimal tools such as screwdrivers and spanners
- Coupling and uncoupling of motive units, towing vehicles from tankers & trailers
- Regularly working away from base, including overnight working
To be successful as the HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver you will:
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be prepared to carry out trunking or same day return to depot routes
- Be able to interact with internal and external customers
- Have a high level of Safety Awareness
- Have possessed an HGV C+E licence for a minimum of 3 years with a minimum of 180 days experience within the last two years
- Possession of DQC (Drivers CPC)
- Have no more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence
- Be able to demonstrate experience of tanker driving
- Have an ADR 'Class 2' entitlement in tanks
- Have a good understanding of EU and WTD tachograph legislation
- Have a high level of personal Integrity

- Monday to Friday with opportunity of weekend work
- Paid breaks
- Days - Approximate start 06:00am
- Nights - Approximate start 18:00pm start
- Shift length 10-12 hours (average)
- Attractive allowances for weekends, bank holidays, nights out and several other scenarios
This is an ongoing, full-time role with Pertemps which can lead to a permanent contract with BOC. These positions are available with an immediate start, following a face-to-face interview, driving assessment, criminal record check and drug & alcohol test/medical assessment.
