We are a well-established independent commercial vehicle workshop based in Bolton and are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified technician seeking a varied role within a friendly, supportive business where quality workmanship and customer service are highly valued.
You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing and repair of a wide range of commercial vehicles including HGVs, trailers and vans. As a benefit you will receive a company van and fuel card, all overtime paid at 1.5 X and no weekend working
Key duties as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer
- Carrying out vehicle inspections on HGVs, Trailers and Vans
- Completing MOT preparation work and presenting vehicles for DVSA testing.
- Undertaking HGV repairs, service and maintenance
What we’re looking for in the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer
- NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications in HGV’s
- Experience working on HGVs, Trailers and Vans
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience with MOT preparation and vehicle inspections.
- The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
