We’re seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our team at a leading commercial vehicle and trailer specialist’s maintenance and refurbishment facility in Dukinfield. This is your chance to be part of a multi-site commercial fleet maintenance and repair company dedicated to excellence in vehicle repair and refurbishment.
- Perform high-quality welding and fabrication on commercial vehicles and trailers
- Ensure all modifications, repairs and fabrications adhere to depot procedures and industry standards
- Assist in trailer rebuilds, ensuring structural integrity and safety
- Accurately complete job sheets and maintain detailed records
- Participate in preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan of vehicles and trailers
- Working with various materials such as fibreglass, steel, aluminium and hardwood using skills including drilling, cutting, riveting, welding and grinding
Required Skills and Experience for the Welder/Fabricator:
- Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator, specifically working on trailers and HGV’s
- Strong understanding of welding techniques and materials used in trailer fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
