Due to increased business levels, our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional HGV technician / Mechanic / Fitter to the team.
Duties of the HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter:
- Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
- Carry out technical inspections.
- Undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
- Work on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use.
Experience/skills required for the HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter:
- Ideally hold full HGV qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds).
- Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles.
- Hold an HGV Class 1 or 2 licence would be beneficial.
- Valid driving licence.
