Hours: Monday to Friday We are looking for an experienced Hire Controller to join a busy and established team in Acton.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in the tool or plant hire industry who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for customers, responding to hire enquiries.

Produce and process all hire-related documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, stock movements and sales paperwork.

Schedule and oversee the timely delivery and collection of equipment, working closely with the transport team.

Communicate with the workshop to ensure machinery and equipment are prepared, inspected and ready for hire.

Help drive business growth by identifying opportunities to increase equipment hires and ancillary product sales.

Keep track of fleet availability, ensuring equipment is allocated efficiently to meet customer demand.

Provide a professional, responsive service while balancing multiple tasks in a busy hire office.

Support customers with loading and unloading equipment when required.

Ensure records are maintained accurately and all documentation complies with internal processes.

Skills & Experience Required Previous experience working within a tool hire or plant hire environment, with at least two years in a hire desk or similar position.

Confident user of Syrinx hire management software.

Good working knowledge of the full hire process, including contract administration, transport planning, off-hires and fleet scheduling.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where deadlines are important.

Full UK manual driving licence.

Additional language skills, particularly Polish or Ukrainian, would be beneficial but are not a requirement.
