The Role
My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Service Engineer to carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide range of plant and construction machinery. This is a mobile role, travelling directly from home to customer sites, so you’ll need to be confident working independently and providing a first-class service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair plant machinery to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete reports and timesheets accurately via tablet or phone.
- Order and manage parts efficiently.
- Carry out safety inspections and ensure all work complies with regulations.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
About You
- Qualified in Construction Plant Maintenance (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Experience with plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, and diagnostics.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Good IT literacy and attention to detail.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively on your own.
