About the Company: My client, a large Forklift Hire company operating nationwide, is seeking a skilled Service Controller to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company and play a crucial role in their operations.

Role Overview: As a Service Controller, you will be responsible for managing hire enquiries and coordinating service activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Hire Enquiries: Handling hire enquiries via telephone, email, and our online ordering system.
  • Customer Service: Dealing with calls from customers and arranging for engineers to attend breakdowns.
  • Job Card Management: Updating job cards on the internal database and allocating jobs to engineers.
  • Machine Availability: Checking the availability of machines and ensuring their statuses are always up-to-date on our systems.
  • Coordination: Coordinating with the engineering and transport teams to ensure the correct machines are ready and delivered to customer sites.
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with colleagues and providing a helpful and friendly point of contact for depot enquiries.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this Service Controller role will have:

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Plant, Powered Access, Tool, or Material Handling industries.
  • Computer Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and general computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
