Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester - Salford, Manchester Salary: £32,000 basic, OTE up to £42,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm (42 hours paid per week, 45 minute lunch) Contract: Permanent, Full Time Location: Salford, Manchester Kemp Recruitment are working with one of the UK's largest manufacturer-owned main dealer groups, representing several major car and van brands, to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for their busy workshop in Salford, Manchester. The Role You will join a skilled workshop team carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology. What You Will Do - Routine servicing and maintenance of customer vehicles - Mechanical repairs and fault finding - Vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required - Completing repairs safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards - Using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems - Keeping accurate job records - Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team - Carrying out MOT testing What We Are Looking For - Level 3 IMI / NVQ qualified Vehicle Technician - MOT Tester licence - Previous main dealer or workshop experience beneficial - Strong technical and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and a positive, team-focused attitude - Full UK Driving Licence Benefits - Basic salary up to £32,000 (approx. £14.65 per hour) - OTE up to £42,000 through the enhanced technician bonus scheme and overtime - Overtime paid at 1.5x - Employee car scheme (up to two vehicles) - Up to 7% employer pension contribution - 22 days holiday rising to 26 with service, plus bank holidays - Company share programme - Ongoing manufacturer training and career development - Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave - Employee assistance programme and retail discounts - State-of-the-art workshop facilities Interested?
