You will be working for an established, family-run materials handling specialist with decades of experience supporting businesses across the UK.
The company provides a wide range of new and used forklift trucks, warehouse and material handling equipment, including pallet trucks, stackers, lifting equipment and specialist attachments.
Your responsibilities will include
- Replenishing van stock and ensuring required parts are readily available.
- Issuing parts to the workshop and engineers.
- Receiving and checking all incoming deliveries, ensuring parts are correctly booked into stock and relevant GRN documentation is completed.
- Taking incoming calls and dealing with parts requests and enquiries.
- Processing parts returns and resolving any discrepancies.
- Carrying out regular stocktaking and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Identifying parts and sourcing the correct items as required.
- Ordering parts from suppliers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assisting with customer and internal quotations.
- Despatching goods via carriers and ensuring they are packaged correctly.
- Resolving problems such as incorrect, damaged or missing parts.
- Checking parts booked to job sheets and ensuring stock is promptly replenished.
- Assisting with Parts department filing and administration.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the Parts department.
- Providing support to colleagues across the Parts and Service teams when required.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability.
Experience you will need
- Previous experience in a parts, stores, warehouse or automotive environment would be advantageous.
- Excellent PC and system skills.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A methodical and organised approach to work.
