The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dedicated Paint Improver to join a high-performing accident repair team at a well-established and growing group in the bodyshop industry. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring vehicles are presented to the highest standard before leaving site—through light preparation, polishing, and rectification of minor paintwork defects. If you take pride in precision, have solid experience prepping or polishing vehicles, and enjoy being part of a tight-knit workshop team—this one’s for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepping vehicle panels and parts ready for paint
  • Sanding surfaces using various paper grades
  • Masking, priming, and correcting imperfections in fresh paint
  • Light paintwork repairs and polishing tasks
  • Final quality inspections of refinished work
  • Identifying and resolving dirt inclusions or minor defects
  • Minimising contamination during paint prep stages
  • Ensuring PPE is worn and checked regularly

What You’ll Need

  • Previous experience prepping and/or polishing vehicles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot imperfections
  • Organised, with good time management
