Job title: Forklift Engineer

Location: Wellingborough and surrounding areas

Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

OTE: £45,000 - £51,500+

We are recruiting for a Field Based Engineer to join a busy team based in Wellingborough.

Due to an increase in workload, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a range of equipment across a fleet of brands.

You’ll work across a range of leading forklift and materials handling brands, including Yale, Hyster, JCB, Combilift and Aisle-Master.

Daily responsibilities

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of equipment.
  • Working on scissor lifts, reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and engineering issues.
  • Travelling to customer sites to complete planned and reactive work.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Completing relevant service and maintenance documentation.
  • Participating in an on-call rota when required, with volunteers sought where possible.

Experience you will need

  • Experience as a Forklift engineer or agricultural technician
  • Proven experience of servicing, maintaining & repairing diesel engines
  • Confident working with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic equipment
  • Full UK driving licence

Package

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Basic salary: £35,000 - £40,000
  • OTE: £45,000 - £51,500+ (based on 5 hours overtime a week)
  • Overtime paid at 1.3x Monday-Friday, 1.5x Saturday and 2x Sunday.
  • Company van and fuel card.
  • Door-to-door pay.
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • 2-week Christmas shutdown.
  • Company tablet and Work phone.
  • Occasional on-call allowance/rota.
