We’re recruiting a Parts & Logistics Assistant to help keep a busy goods-inward and distribution operation running smoothly at a Newmarket-area branch. This role is ideal for someone reliable, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting both colleagues and customers.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for receiving, storing and distributing stock efficiently, while maintaining well-organised parts and retail areas that are easy to access and operate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, check and put away stock into stores and the showroom
  • Unpack branch bins and process supplier deliveries
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles and customer collections
  • Pick, process and supply parts for workshop orders
  • Carry out regular stock checks
  • Provide a professional, helpful and efficient service to customers and colleagues
  • Work towards departmental targets and branch objectives
  • Follow company procedures and all health & safety requirements

Skills & Experience Required

  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and via phone/email
  • Good general IT skills
  • Confident working with numbers and written information
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
  • Self-motivated with good organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Forklift licence desirable

Additional Information

  • Location: Newmarket area
  • Hours: 39 hours per week
  • Contract: Permanent, full-time, hourly paid
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
