Job Title: HGV Technician Salary: £45,000 Basic + performance/efficiency bonus + overtime opportunities Location: Leyland Hours: Monday – Friday, 4pm to 11pm Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician: Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections, pre-MOT test preparation, and mechanical repairs on heavy goods vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards. Utilise advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify complex mechanical and electrical faults efficiently. Ensure work is completed "right first time" to minimise vehicle downtime for our customers. Complete electronic job cards, service sheets, and VOSA documentation accurately and thoroughly via a tablet Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing and present them if required. Maintain a clean, organised workspace and strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations.What We’re Looking For: NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or IMI equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Proven track record working as an HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Fitter, or Trailer Technician. A full manual UK driving licence is required. An HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence is preferred but not essential.
